Signal Hill is a real "gold mine" in the west End of Belleville, with over 500 households situated 11 miles from St. Louis. Signal Hill is bordered by 95th Street and Main Street, and extends to Foley Drive and Route 157.
For families with children, our neighborhood offers several choices for your child's education. Signal Hill School is a small, community based, diverse, pre-k through 8 public grade school located within the Signal Hill neighborhood on 95th Street. Blessed Sacrament School is a parochial school for kindergarten through 8th grade that is part of the Archdiocese of Belleville and is located on West Main Street.
Governor French Academy is a private coeducational college-preparatory school for students in Pre-K through 12th grade. Other options for high school aged children include Belleville West High School   and Althoff Catholic High School.  
Within the neighborhood is a 30-acre greenspace with a flowing stream and walking trails, a Community Garden, and an outdoor classroom used by both elementary schools. Nearby recreational facilities include Belleville Health and Sport Center, Dorchester Swim and Tennis Club, and St. Clair Country Club.
Our property and homes are protected by the Signal Hill Volunteer Fire Department, which is rated one of the top volunteer fire departments in Southern Illinois. They have been providing vital fire and emergency services to our residents for over 65 years. The Belleville Police Department and St. Clair County Sheriff's Office provide law enforcement protection for the residents of Signal Hill.
